Coming soon to iOS

Just say
what you ate.

SpeakCal turns a spoken sentence into a full nutrition picture — calories, macros, and 30+ micronutrients. No logging forms. No judgment. No streaks to break.

Launching soon — built privacy-first.

38g protein  /  52g carbs  /  14g fat  /  487 kcal

Three steps. That’s it.

Three seconds to logged.

Say what you ate.

Open the app and speak naturally. "Grilled chicken with rice and a glass of orange juice." Whole meals, restaurant dishes, home cooking.

We break it down.

SpeakCal shows what it heard and what it found — calories, protein, carbs, fat, and more. Adjust anything that looks off.

See your day.

A calm, clear picture of your nutrition. How you're doing, what you ate, and how different foods tend to make you feel.

Designed different

“Nutrition is information.
Not a report card.”

SpeakCal was designed from the start for people who’ve had a complicated relationship with tracking — or with food.

No streaks or losing-streaks.

No red numbers when you eat more.

Ranges, not hard targets.

Never the word “over” or “under.”

30

Nutrients. Automatically.

Most apps track 6 nutrients.
We track 30.
Speak one meal. Get the full breakdown automatically.

All 30, always.

Illustrative example

What it does

Your voice is
the interface.

Tap once, speak once. No search fields, no barcode scanning, no drop-down menus. If you can describe a meal to a friend, you can log it in SpeakCal. Whole meals, restaurant dishes, home cooking — just say it.

Micronutrients

30+ micronutrients.

Every log surfaces iron, zinc, B12, folate, omega-3s, and more. Not just the big three macros. Speak one meal, get the full breakdown automatically.

Privacy

Speech stays on your device.

Your voice never leaves your phone. Apple’s on-device recognition — no audio to any server.

Correlations

How does food make you feel?

Beyond macros, SpeakCal tracks how your meals relate to your energy, digestion, and how you feel later. Over time, patterns emerge.

HealthKit

Syncs with Apple Health.

Calories and macros write to Apple Health automatically. Your data stays in your ecosystem.

No Shame

Calm nutrition ranges.

Goals shown as ranges, not hard limits. The app never tells you that you failed a day.

FAQ

Questions.

We're putting the finishing touches on the iOS app. It's coming soon to the App Store.

SpeakCal produces estimates, not laboratory measurements. When you log "a bowl of oatmeal," it makes a reasonable inference about portion and preparation. You can review the details and correct anything — change the portion, swap a specific food, or remove an item entirely. The more context you give when you speak, the closer the estimate.

Yes. Calories, macros, and nutrients sync to Apple Health automatically once you grant permission.

Speech is transcribed on-device using Apple's built-in speech framework. Your voice audio is never sent to our servers. The text of what you logged is stored in your app, and you control it.

No. SpeakCal does not flag meals, send you over-budget alerts, or show numbers in red. Nutrition is displayed as a neutral range. There are no streaks, no daily scores, and no language that frames eating as a pass or fail.

SpeakCal was designed with this in mind. There are no calorie countdowns, no "you went over" states, and no language that ties your worth to your intake. That said, any tracking tool can feel difficult depending on where you are. Use it if it helps, and set it aside if it doesn't.

Yes. Core logging is free. Advanced features — detailed micronutrient trends, food-symptom correlations, unlimited history — are available in the premium tier.

Those apps are built around a search-and-tap workflow and a points/streak model. SpeakCal is voice-first, judgment-free, and designed for people who find traditional tracking alienating.
